CESDI with funding from USAID through Northeast connection and creative associate implemented a project focused on strengthening community resilience to violent extremism through cultural and recreational events and drama in Dongonini ward of Potiskum LGA. Three communities of Ari kime, Dorowa and Afghanistan were targeted for the project implementation. The purpose of the project was to enhance social cohesion and build mutual tolerance amongst the project communities.

The project was designed to provide support to the communities through capacity building training, promotion of sport and recreational activities. The target beneficiaries were community leaders, religious leader, women, youth and community based organizations as well as traditional leaders. The project was tailored to address the priority needs of these target communities.
